Individual, Family, Group, Club, or School Fundraisers to benefit our patients
Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas (BHSET) Foundation! You are vital to our mission of Sacred Work, providing exceptional care, comfort, and relief to patients throughout our community while drawing friends and family together around a common cause. All proceeds from your event will remain 100% local to benefit the cause you select.
We make it easy through a partnership model based on years of working with individuals and groups who desire to make an impact in the lives of their neighbors.
An example of an individual fundraiser that made a huge difference and served as an inspiration was an 8-year-old girl who requested that instead of presents, guests at her birthday party bring donations for our Baptist Cancer Center in honor of her grandfather.
Another is a group of individuals working with the Foundation sponsoring several events including a painting class and white elephant bingo at local restaurants to fund gas cards for Cancer patients. These two events raised over $8300 and this group is just getting started!
Donations have also come from church garage sales and other fundraisers where a portion of proceeds was dedicated to funds such as our Chaplains who assist low income families in our care with rides, medication, etc.

Ideas for Community Fundraisers and Drives
- Food Sale – Baked Goods, Lunches, Dinners, etc.
- Car Wash
- Share your knowledge through a class – art, cooking, photography, sewing, crafting, exercise, with donations or proceeds to benefit our patients
- Tournament – chess, tennis, soccer, video game, mahjong, bridge, among others
- Milestone Celebration Fundraiser – “in lieu of gifts” on an invitation for a birthday, anniversary, wedding
- Facebook fundraiser
- Performance
- Readathon, Dance Marathon, Bowlathon, or other “athon” events (perfect for schools)
